PSL Custom Wine Cellar handles wine room construction for homes and businesses that want their bottles on display instead of tucked away in a closet. A wine room sits above grade, usually right off the dining room, great room or bar, so it has to look the part while holding a steady 55°F.
Most of the rooms we build start out as one of these spaces:
Each room is framed and sealed like a true cellar, with a vapor barrier, insulated walls and an exterior-grade door going in before the glass, racking and lighting. Cooling is sized to the real heat load, which matters a lot here since glass walls and Florida sun can push a small unit well past its limits.
Before any wall comes down, the in-house design team builds a 3D rendering of the room so the racking, lighting and finishes can be tweaked while changes are still free. Clients from Port St. Lucie up to Fellsmere and down to Jupiter Farms have used that preview to get their wine room right the first time.

These design concepts show how a wine room can fit into a club lounge, a dining room corner or a spare bedroom on the Treasure Coast.

DESIGN CONCEPT · INDIAN RIVER SHORES
A members' club in Indian River Shores was keeping its wine in a back office where the AC shut off every night. The concept turns an unused card room beside the lounge into a glass-front wine room with 1,200 bottles on oak racking, locking member lockers along 1 wall and a split cooling system that runs around the clock. Members can now spot their own bottles from the bar.
Estimated budget: $74,000
Estimated timeline: 8 to 10 weeks

DESIGN CONCEPT · MARTIN DOWNS
This Martin Downs couple kept losing wall space to wine fridges that hummed through every dinner party. The plan frames a 6 x 8 foot glass wine room into the corner of the dining room, with floor-to-ceiling walnut racks for 450 bottles and LED strips tucked behind each row. Since the cooling unit is ducted into the attic, the room stays quiet while guests eat.
Estimated budget: $31,000
Estimated timeline: 4 to 6 weeks

DESIGN CONCEPT · SAVANNA CLUB
A retired collector in Savanna Club had about 700 bottles stacked in a spare bedroom with the blinds drawn to keep the sun out. The concept seals the room with a vapor barrier and closed-cell insulation, swaps the old door for an insulated glass one and lines the walls with mahogany racking around a small tasting table. The former closet now hides the cooling system.
Estimated budget: $26,500
Estimated timeline: 4 to 5 weeks

01
Every project starts with a measured walkthrough and a 3D rendering, so the layout, racking and lighting are settled before construction begins. From there, the crew handles framing, sealing, the door, cooling and the final install.
02
Restaurants, clubs and tasting rooms need a wine room that looks sharp from the floor and holds up to constant door traffic. Sightlines, locking storage and fast-recovering cooling are all planned around how your staff actually serve.

03
In most homes, a spare bedroom, alcove or pantry can become a wine room without major demolition. The space is sealed, insulated and fitted with racking sized to your collection, with some room left to grow.
04
Racking can mix label-forward display rows, bulk bins and magnum slots in walnut, mahogany or metal. A feature wall behind glass gives guests something to look at while the rest of the collection stays organized below.

05
Glass walls and Florida sun add heat that a basic through-wall unit simply cannot handle. Ducted and split systems are sized to the real heat load of the room and keep it near 55°F and 60% humidity.
06
Insulated low-E glass, frameless doors and warm LED strips let the room double as a design feature. Stone, tile and stained wood finishes are chosen to handle cool, damp air without warping or staining.

See it before it is built:
A 3D rendering lets you approve every detail before construction starts.
Glass that holds temperature:
Insulated low-E panels keep heat out without hiding the collection.
Commercial and residential know-how:

Quiet, tidy installs:
Ducted cooling keeps the hum out of your living and dining spaces.
PSL Custom Wine Cellar answers common questions from homeowners and business owners planning a wine room.
Most wine rooms run about $25,000 to $75,000, depending on size, glass and racking. A spare bedroom conversion usually sits near the lower end, while a glass-fronted room with custom millwork lands near the top.
Most rooms take 4 to 6 weeks, and larger glass rooms with custom millwork can run 8 to 10 weeks. The 3D layout comes within a week of the consult, so planning never holds things up for long.
Yes. Most spare bedrooms convert in 4 to 5 weeks with new insulation, a vapor barrier, a glass door and a cooling unit that can often vent through the closet.
Walls get closed-cell insulation and a 6-mil vapor barrier, finished with an exterior-grade insulated door or a low-E glass front. Racking is usually mahogany, walnut or powder-coated metal.
Most rooms get a WhisperKOOL or CellarPro unit, either self-contained through the wall or a ducted split system for a quieter space. The size is set by a heat load calculation once the glass layout is final.
Each room carries a 2-year workmanship warranty on the racking, seals, vapor barrier and installation. The cooling unit is covered separately by its manufacturer warranty.
